What is Toddler Soccer? Most parents consider it "soccer inspired play". Our program was co-designed by a parent of 2 and a coach with 15+ years working with children under the age of 5. First and foremost, we just want the children to have fun. How do we get the kids excited? Some of our toddler activities include offering stickers and stamps, imagining soccer ice cream cones, feeding the hippo soccer balls and avoiding the aligator. In the background, we are focusing on things like balance, colors, basic comfort with the ball, teamwork and sharing. If that's not enough, for many children it is the first time they interact with someone outside the family and we do so in a fun and welcoming way.
For those new to SportStars and with children in other age cohorts we offer Toddler Soccer (ages 1.5-2.5) • PreSchool Soccer (2.5-3.5) • Girls & Boys Soccer (3.5-5) • Kids Soccer (5-7) • Youth Soccer (7-9) • u9 Soccer (9-10) • u10 Soccer (10-11)Sign Up Now >>

SportStars offer small kids a warm welcome to the world of soccer and the fun via collaborative play. Kids will be shown the basic fundamentals of soccer (volley, dribbling, kicking) by using safe and effective soccer equipment in a top notche facility. Our toddler activities are based in a collaborative surrounding, but will also cater to the individual needs of each child. Toddler soccer players develop essential motor skills, as well as introducing little ones to cognitive and social skills that they will require in everyday life and interaction. If you're looking for a toddler activity look no further.Sign Up Now >>
Participation of Parent/Guardian is almost always mandatory. Especially in the first few weeks it will be a new environment for them and they can use that extra hand.
45-minute classes with a few minutes on each end.
Classes are weekly at the same time, same place
Classes are always sized appropriately for our toddler soccer players. Coaches do not exceed 7 kids at this age.
Children receive an exciting colorful SportStars shirt
At SportStars, our coaches are dedicated to teaching little ones the ability to learn and begin to develop cognitive skills. The activities we do are all focused on play but whether its learning colors, counting, putting colorful discs on cones or simply running in a circle and kicking a ball, there is an element of instruction and learning how to listen with "coaches binoculars." Without even knowing it your child will be learning the basics of how to learn and how to pay attention to a teacher. Don't get us wrong, our toddler activities are fun and many children adapt right away but we often need the assistance of the parents which provides you an additional opportunity to bond with your little toddler soccer play!Sign Up Now >>
All our toddler activities take place at Applewood Heights Secondary School in Mississauga. We have the best of both worlds - rain or shine.
We are proud of Mississauga's newest turf field. No more twisted ankles or muddy feet. Just fun toddler soccer!
For those days when rain, snow or simply cold gets in the way, we bring our kids indoors to one of the excellent gyms at the PDSBs regional sports program school. We'll still run all kinds of age appropriate drills to further develop your child's sports skills. But most important we do everything we can to make sure your little toddler soccer player is having fun - stickers included!
We're centrally located at Bloor & Tomken a few minutes east of Square One.
For those looking for Etobicoke Youth Soccer Programs, please don't look us over. We are 7 minutes from 427/Bloor and an excellent option for our eastward friends.
Even though we're not Oakville Soccer, we do have many parents that join. Whether it's our Rain or Shine offering or our convenient weekday offerings, we offer something few others can.
Our programs deliver age-appropriate, fun activities to introduce your children to the great game of soccer. From kicking soccer balls
